gas prices have dropped for many reasons,

frequent proverb in the commodities industry is "the cure for high prices is high prices." And that has come to pass. In other words, low demand reduces price increases as a result of high pricing.

The attempts of European governments to fill gas storage facilities, particularly with liquefied natural gas, have also inspired energy market traders.

Additionally, as the nation battles Covid cases, China demand has been muted. In an effort to restrain rising oil prices, the U.S. has also taken novel approach by releasing record volumes of oil from the Reserve for Strategic Petroleum.
