Zips was invented by Whitcomb L. Judson, who first has the idea of a slide fastener, and exhibited it at the World’s Columbian Exposition of 1893 in Chicago, and it was known as a clasp locker, then Gideon Sundback, a Swedish engineer working in the United States, modified the clasp locker of Judson, to be considered the first modern zipper, which went on sale in 1914, and after three years, this patent was granted.
