The number of planets is 8 planets orbiting the Sun(Venus, Mercury, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune)

While the number of satellites in the solar system is 182 natural satellites, part of which 173 orbits planets 8 and 7 orbits dwarf planets and a group that orbits small objects in the solar system and as recently as 2012 many satellites were discovered up to 200 moons
