One of 400 items is defective

The number of boxes are 400/100=4 boxes.

The boxes that contain the defective item= one box

The boxes with no defect =4-1=3

The probability that any given box of items will contain no defective items=

number of boxes with no defects/total number of boxes

=3/4.
