The articles of confederation were the Constitution of the United States of America  which is the oldest written unbroken constitution in the world. The constitution establishes the US federal government, the US supreme government.

The constitution establishes for the US federal government 3 separate powers: the legislative, represented by Congress, the executive, represented by the president of the United States, Judicial that represented by the United Supreme Court
