You can apply for Italian citizenship in the following cases :

  •  if you have one of your ancestors who was born in Italy or was an Italian citizen and there are no generational limits.
  • if you were born in Italy.
  • if you become a resident of an Italian town for 4 years if you are an EU citizen but if you are a non-EU citizen, you will need to live in Italy for 10 years.
  • If you are married to an Italian citizen and you can apply for citizenship three years after it was celebrated.
