No, isopropyl alcohol can be used to clean sensitive electronic components without risk but some electronic components such as polycarbonate electronic components which are commonly found on printed circuit boards, seals and gaskets can be damaged when exposed to isopropyl alcohol cleaning solutions so, a more dilute cleaning solution must be used or do not use isopropyl alcohol on these components.
